Swoon, The Sounds Of The Trumpet is a sculptural sound work composed of a ceramic horn, an intestinal pipe and a DMX programmed fan. The work embodies a breathwork recorded by the artist conceived to bring about an out of body and hallucinatory experience. The trumpet, a 3D printed porcelain horn is a precise model of a geometric figure, a Gabriels Horn which represents infinite surface and finite volume in mathematical terms. The trumpet is an icon in both the Quran and the Bible, where it is blown as a symbol of when the period of the world is completed.
